Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (Sept 20, 2021) – Have you heard about the orange economy? Business outsourcing firm, Aegis Business Solutions believes our Caribbean region has great potential to develop the creative industries. The company has developed an online 1-day summit and two weeks of business workshops scheduled for 15 – 26 November, 2021. This training is geared towards guiding micro and small businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals in the creative/cultural industries across the region.
The orange economy is an all embracing concept that covers the creative industries, the experience economy, the creative economy and the cultural economy and is interpreted differently in different countries. The Aegis summit’s sessions hope to shorten the gap between corporate clients, prospective investors and creative/cultural businesses. Topics such as ‘valuation for creative and cultural IP/assets’ and preparing creative businesses for private sector investment are just a few sessions planned.

The business workshop series will be delivered by Aegis’ experts in the firm and covers what they do best – those key business functions to help companies build a stronger business sustainably. Some of the topics include, understanding financial statements, tools and techniques in bookkeeping, building a better budget, payroll guidance, how to establish a legal entity and developing a human resource plan.
The online summit and business workshops will take place November 15 – 26, 2021.
