Aleema Ogeer-Ali is the Chief Operating Officer at Aegis with over 20 years’ experience in the field of accounting, controls, and financial reporting across many industries such as energy, manufacturing and financial services.
She is a fellow member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT).
Aleema leads a team of professionals that provides outsourced services to a wide portfolio of clients comprising of multi-national companies with offices in Trinidad and Tobago, foreign investment companies and local companies ranging from large public companies and state enterprises to small and medium sized companies.
Aleema has been involved in several special projects where she was instrumental in the implementation of systems and controls to improve the flow of information within organizations and the quality of their financial reporting.
She has a keen interest in neuro leadership and recognizes the need for and promotes continuous training and development for herself and her team due to the very nature of the field of accounting and the need to keep up to date with changes in standards and regulations. Aleema is also passionate about mentoring staff and their professional growth.
Aleema is Past Treasurer of the European Business Chamber in Trinidad and Tobago (EUROCHAMTT) where she contributed towards establishing more robust accounting processes for the Chamber. She is also Past Treasurer of the Aegis Credit Union Co-operative Society, and member of the Aegis Charity Committee which provides financial assistance to individuals and institutions through fundraising activities.
